Construction Expeditor
Armand Corporation is an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm celebrating over 34 years in the industry. We are currently seeking a full-time Expeditor.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of full-time experience in reviewing construction documents, zoning compliance, filing and facilitating permit approval and researching property status, and resides in the area of New York, NY.
This position will be full-time, On-site in Long Island City, Queens.
If selected, candidates will need to provide digital proof of licensure and certification for all U.S.-based accolades, including academic degree, before time of interview. Information provided is handled with discretion and will be used purely for benefit of employment with various government agency clients and associated background checks.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for performing technical and administrative tasks related to the review of New York City permits.
- Review documents submitted for City required building and other permits for completeness and accuracy.
- Provide support to permit applicants in completing the filing procedure with various City agencies.
- Deliver documents to various city agencies for data entry, review and/or approval.
- May be required to work closely with Plan Examiners in reviewing documents for City Building Code and for guaranteeing compliance.
- Research existing building status from City records at various agencies.
- Perform related tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS include, but are not limited to, the following:
- High school or a general education diploma from an accredited program.
- 3+ years of fulltime, professional experience involved in construction document review, zoning compliance, filing and facilitating permit approval and researching property status.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat)
- Fluent in English with strong verbal/written communication skills
