Office Engineer - Railway and Transit
Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm celebrating over 33 years in the industry, is seeking a full-time Office Engineer for a federal construction project related to complex rail, transit, and other transportation projects in NY & NJ.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in the field of civil construction, as well as a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
If selected, candidates will need to provide digital proof of licensure and certification for all U.S.-based accolades, including academic degree, before time of interview. Information provided is handled with discretion and will be used purely for benefit of employment with various government agency clients and associated background checks.
This position will be full-time, on-site. Candidates are expected to live in or near the New York metropolitan area.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist the CM with design and construction activity tracking, verification of work in place, claims and change order tracking, and the schedule review and revision process.
- Receive, record, review, transmit, and track the resolution of pending tasks. Maintain logs and financial records in the project information system.
- Prepare periodic reports summarizing progress of design and construction activities for higher level management and clients.
- Perform various engineering and design assignments requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories within Civil Engineering.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Engineering, Construction, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of civil construction.
- Engineer-In-Training license Strongly Preferred.
- Experience in large-scale civil, structural, and/or industrial projects is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes, as well as industry practices required.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Autocad, Bluebeam, ProCore, Adobe Acrobat, Primavera P6.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken)
