Senior Heavy Construction Estimator - Railway and Transit - Hybrid
Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm celebrating over 33 years in the industry, is seeking a full-time Senior Heavy Construction Estimator with civil experience relating to railways/transit in the New York City, NY & Newark, NJ area.
The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of experience in the field of construction as a full-time Estimator, with demonstrated projects they have worked on relating to large-scale civil railway construction.
If selected, candidates will need to provide digital proof of licensure and certification for all U.S.-based accolades, including academic degree, before time of interview. This is a full-time, Hybrid position in New York, NY.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide project scoping, design, and construction phase supervision services for a large transit program
- Utilizing your knowledge of project controls, including cost and schedule management methods, specific to the transit industry.
- Collaborating with the program lead estimator and the cost estimating team to develop accurate cost estimates for various components of the transit program, such as civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, track, utilities, maintenance and storage facilities, signal and communications systems, bus depot facilities, and way side power facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to construction required.
- 10+ years of professional experience working directly as a full-time Estimator involved in large-scale civil railway construction projects.
- Proficiency in cost estimating software, construction cost databases, and MS Excel for detailed analysis and reporting.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat)
- Driver's License preferred.
- Fluent in English with strong verbal/written communication skills
