Community Outreach Coordinator - Hybrid
Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm celebrating over 33 years in the industry, is seeking a full-time Community Outreach Coordinator.
The ideal candidate has at least two years of demonstrated experience in community engagement, and a strong understanding of engagement strategies. Candidates must also have experience working in and around construction sites and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse populations.
If selected, candidates will need to provide digital proof of licensure and certification for all U.S.-based accolades, including academic degrees, before the time of the interview. Information provided will be handled with discretion and used purely for employment-related purposes, including background checks for various government agency clients.
This position will be full-time, Hybrid. Candidates are expected to live in or near the Newark, New Jersey area.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Plan and execute multi-stakeholder meetings for project phases, including pre-planning/procurement, design/relocation, and construction.
- Schedule regular updates to stakeholders, Tenant Associations, and residents.
- Coordinate with construction, relocation, and other teams to share updates with relevant parties.
- Build and maintain networks with agency partners, non-profits, and community stakeholders to evaluate progress and implement solutions.
- Oversee outreach efforts, ensuring adherence to policies and high-quality service delivery.
- Perform field office and construction site visits across all five boroughs to ensure performance standards.
- Prepare reports, track critical projects, and address external tasks related to community liaisons and outreach.
- Assist with onboarding consultants and provide support for community engagement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Minimum of two years proven experience of demonstrated community engagement experience.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal, and maintain focus on organizational goals.
- Experience in public speaking, training, and professional interaction with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with construction processes, procurement, design phases, and construction terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Project), Adobe Creative Suite, e-Builder, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed for outreach and public meetings.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
