Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm celebrating over 35 years in the industry, is seeking a highly organized and self-directed professional who can manage recruiting and HR administrative responsibilities with minimal supervision in the New York City office. 

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong follow-through, initiative, and the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

This position will report to our Midtown office approximately 24 hours per week. Days and hours of work are Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm. 

Essential Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
  • Partner with management to execute recruiting strategies for internal and contingent staffing positions.
  • Manage job postings through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Source candidates through job boards, professional networks, industry associations, referrals, and other recruiting channels.
  • Screen resumes and evaluate candidates against position requirements.
  • Conduct phone, virtual, and in-person interviews.
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and client representatives (Internal construction management and contingent workforce).
  • Maintain candidate pipelines and ensure timely follow-up throughout the recruiting process.
  • Prepare candidate summaries and recommendations for management review.
Onboarding & Employee Administration
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding activities and documentation.
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of all onboarding paperwork.
  • Maintain employee records and HRIS data.
  • Track required certifications, licenses, and training records.
Compliance & Recordkeeping
  • Maintain personnel files and employee records.
  • Audit employee files for completeness and compliance.
  • Track required documentation and follow up on missing items.
  • Ensure onboarding documentation is completed and properly maintained.
Performance Management
  • Track performance review schedules and deadlines.
  • Follow up with managers regarding outstanding evaluations.
  • Maintain performance review documentation and reporting.
Employee Relations & Communication
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries.
  • Assist in resolving employee concerns and workplace issues.
  • Draft professional communications to employees and leadership.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and company programs.

Qualifications 

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of Human Resources and/or Recruiting experience.
  • Experience conducting interviews and evaluating candidates.
  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience supporting contingent staffing, professional services, engineering, construction management, or project management organizations. (Preferred)
  • Experience with JazzHR, Paychex, or similar systems.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or related HR certification.
