Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm celebrating over 33 years in the industry, is seeking a full-time Construction Water Utilities Inspector.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in the field of construction relating to water utilities inspection, and resides in the area of Philadelphia, PA.

This is a full-time, On-site position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Inspects all water, and sewer lines to ensure compliance with municipal requirements, specifications and contracts.
  • Perform inspections on existing conditions, work being performed, and completed work for quality, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Prepare written documentation, including daily work reports, controlled inspection reports, daily time and material records, and document unit price work.
  • Review and mark plans and specifications as needed to ensure and track compliance with the work performed.
  • Support the Project Manager/Resident Engineer with RFIs and Authorized Work Order (AWOs).
  • Observe work conditions for compliance to applicable safety regulations.
  • Prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously; and follow through on projects to successful completion.
  • Communicate with various parties on the progress of the work in a timely manner.
  • Other related duties and tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Prior experience with water utilities construction, engineering, or architecture is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or in a related field required.
  • 3 or more years of experience in construction supervision/inspection.
  • OSHA 10 at minimum (additional training will be provided, if required).
  • Knowledge of PWD Main Standards 1985, PWD Standard Sewer Details Engineering, PWD Field Inspector Guide, and Green Master Specifications.is a plus but training will be provided, if required.
  • A valid drivers license is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken).
