Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm with over 33 years of industry experience, is seeking a full-time Senior Technical Specialist in the New York City area. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of experience in a managerial, supervisory, and/or project manager role in a large, multi-faceted organization with highly complex systems, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.

If selected, candidates will need to provide digital proof of licensure and certification for all U.S.-based accolades, including academic degree, before time of interview. Information provided is handled with
discretion and will be used purely for benefit of employment with various government agency clients and associated background checks.

This position will be full-time, Hybrid. Candidates are expected to live in or near the New York City Metropolitan area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Administer technical system across large-scale civil construction project and demonstrate expertise in this system to the organization.
  • Manage and customize the system to support the technical development and enhancement within Computer-Aided Design & Drafting (CADD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) environments on the Bentley and Autodesk platforms,
  • Install and configure the ProjectWise software for internal and external clients.
  • Customize the user interface to optimize the ability to use the tools efficiently.
  • Provide Desktop Support and monitor related Help Desk calls to assist with the resolution of client service problems and disruptions on individual workstations.
  • Integrate construction applications; troubleshoot and modify custom environments and configuration files; develop and deliver system training and participate in process workshops.
  • Apply and maintain system security by managing user account creation, granting authorized user rights based on the requirements of the positions, and the business needs to authorized employees and consultants/contractors
  • Prepare projects (Design-Bid-Build/Design-Build) and maintain the project's integrity through the entire life cycle through completion
  • Escalate and work with the appropriate vendor on technical issues that cannot be resolved internally
  • Identify network issues/errors, resolve them, and escalate as appropriate
  • Develop and maintain an inventory of all hardware, software, and peripherals related to the system
  • Create, maintain, and develop up-to-date policies, standards, applications (tools and legacy modernization), and monitoring, which are in step with currently supported technologies and meet the evolving needs of our customers cost-effectively
  • Additional tasks as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in a managerial, supervisory, and/or project manager role in a large, multi-faceted organization with highly complex systems.
  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) for all platforms and using an Azure Cloud-hosted ProjectWise as a collaboration and integration tool
  • Experience with ProjectWise deployment, systems monitoring, troubleshooting system, testing, and certifying new versions
  • Local experience is helpful, but not required.
  • Ability to pass a TWIC and/or SWAC background check at a high level.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • On-site presence required 100% of the time.
