Railroad Operations Coordinator - Hybrid
Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm celebrating over 33 years in the industry, is seeking a full-time Track Access & Force Account Coordinator with railway and transit experience in the New York City metropolitan area.
The ideal candidate has at least 15 years of experience in the field of civil construction relating to railways and transit work, as well as a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
If selected, candidates will need to provide digital proof of licensure and certification for all U.S.-based accolades, including academic degree, before time of interview. Information provided is handled with discretion and will be used purely for benefit of employment with various government agency clients and associated background checks.
This position will be full-time, Hybrid. Candidates are expected to live in or near the Newark, New Jersey area.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Oversight of construction activities at the assigned project sites across New York City Metropolitan and Delaware metropolitan area; Interfacing with contractors and project teams of various departments on site.
- Implement the Priority Development Area (PDA) Tracking Program, including maintaining proper procedures and policies.
- Ensure the preparation of all required meeting minutes for support services and track outage reports.
- Process flagging requests, track outage requests, access and protection requests, and work train requests and follow up with involved parties to ensure needs are met.
- Prepare force account reconciliation reports
- Attending field coordination and progress meetings, as required.
- Coordinate construction activities with Scheduler; Review construction and milestone schedules for accuracy.
- Perform additional relative duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on rails, tunnels, structures, bridges, and roadways.
- Must have experience with railway and transit construction in the New York Metropolitan or surrounding areas.
- Must have experience working with public agencies on civil construction jobs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel) and Microsoft Project/Primavera software.
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
- Strong organizational skills that reflect the seamless ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
