Construction Cost Engineer - Reporting and Forecasting - Hybrid
Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm celebrating over 33 years in the industry, is seeking a full-time Construction Cost Engineer - Reporting and Forecasting for a federal construction project related to complex rail, transit, and other transportation projects in NY & NJ.
The ideal candidate has 10 years of fulltime experience in accounting relating to construction, particularly specialized in Earned Value Management systems, as well as a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
If selected, candidates will need to provide digital proof of licensure and certification for all U.S.-based accolades, including academic degree, before time of interview. Information provided is handled with discretion and will be used purely for benefit of employment with various government agency clients and associated background checks.
This position will be full-time, Hybrid. Candidates are expected to live in or near the New York metropolitan area.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Oversee all expenditures on large-scale civil construction programs, ensuring costs align with budgets; utilize EVM principles to monitor and control project financials.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of project management systems (e.g., eBuilder, Unifier, Kahua) to ensure accurate and timely data handling and reporting.
- Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerBI, and structured databases to manage and report on project data. Familiarity with table structures from PMIS is essential.
- Serve alongside the project management team to ensure stakeholders receive actionable insights on current expenditure data.
- Participate in update meetings to relay and address client concerns.
- Prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously; and follow through on projects to successful completion.
- Other related duties and tasks as required
QUALIFICATIONS include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Engineering, or related required, advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years in accounting relating to construction, particularly specialized in Earned Value Management systems.
- Proficient in eBuilder, Oracle Unifier, and similar PMIS tools.
- Strong data management skills, with expertise in PowerBI, Access, Excel, and database structures.
- Prior experience with rail, tunnel, structural, station, or soil, is preferred.
- Ability to pass a TWIC and/or SWAC Background Check at High Level.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
